Up And Coming UK-Based Quintet Dissonants Release Emotional New Single “Silver Linings”
Southampton-based Dissonants have been making strides in the alternative rock & metal scene with over 12k monthly listeners on Spotify, and are back with their first single of the year, ‘Silver Linings’, out now, along with a music video premiered via BVTV. For anyone who’s gone through a breakup or a heartbreaking situation will resonate with Dissonants’ latest single ‘Silver Linings’. Known for their catchy riffs and soaring melodies; Dissonants continues to deliver that on this pop punk-inspired anthem that will remind you of past relationships that have ended and being sad about them but also remembering the good times you had and being happy they happened in the first place.
Filmed and directed by Six Point Media, the music video depicts a couple in their house sharing a moment together only to realize their relationship may not work after all with various shots of the band playing the song in the same house.
After undergoing a line-up change and shift in musical direction at the start of 2022, Dissonants have shown their ability to curate an anthemic yet monstrous sound that is their own. They have built a reputation for high energy and intense live shows, making them one of the country’s most exciting up and coming artists. Their impressive musical journey so far has seen them gather over 1 million streams on Spotify alone with their 2019 single, ‘Malice In Wonderland’ reaching 1.3 million streams.
With new members Harvey Lord (Drums), Cuba Stanley (Guitar) and previous guitarist Benjie Allen switching over to become the bands front man, ‘Silver Linings’ takes you back through a relationship while reminiscing about the happier times.
The band released their third EP Nescient in 2020, which saw them become cover stars on the formidable ‘New Blood’ official Spotify playlist while also gaining placements on ‘New Core’, ‘New Metal Tracks’ and ‘Metal UK’ playlists. The band hit number 1 on the iTunes metal chart and number 4 in the rock chart with their previous single ‘Silence and Glass’. Their previous single ‘Harlequin’ saw the band playlisting on both YouTube Music’s ‘New Metal Playlist’ and IDOBI Radio (USA) and picked up support from the likes of Punktastic, Total Rock, V13, Backseat Mafia and much more.
