YUNGBLUD’s Most Raw and Real Track to Date: Hated

Dominic Richard Harrison, better known as Yungblud, has released his most raw track to date. Yungblud is known for his ‘idgf’ type anthems and also being featured on tracks with legends in the scene such as Bring Me The Horizon and Travis Barker. His most recent release single Lowlife featured more of his free spirited writing style, while this most recent single, Hated, has Yungblud literally showing a more dark side.

The video starts with Yungblud sitting in a room where the versus begins, as Yungblud continues through the lyrics a black goop looking substance starts dripping from the walls as well as his nostrils. This visual can only be described as the darkness leaving his body but filling the room, halfway through the video Yungblud is shoved off a pillar he has been sat on and kicked most likely depicting either life metaphorically bringing him down or some sort of self depreciation. By the end of the video, he is covered in a black goop staring at what seems to be a younger version of himself, a visual representation of a vulnerable adult who has all of his deepest secrets out in the open and the child that has been hiding inside waiting to be heard.

Photographer & Writer

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
