LA songwriter/producer Betty Moon released her 10th studio album COSMICOMA on May 21st. The album contains 8 tracks, one of which was released as a single prior to the album’s release, “My Only One. The single was well-received and foreshadowed the rest of the album’s sound: rock-influenced and full of powerhouse vocals.

Throughout this album, Betty Moon explores her own sound, all while staying true to her rock and roll roots. One of the high points on this record is the seventh track “Where My Heart Is”, which has more of a ballad feel to it. It’s a slower, more emotional track, and definitely one of my favorites from the album.

This album is influenced by many different sounds, from rock to soul, but Betty Moon combines everything to create her own unique sound. Compared to her first album, it’s evident that she has grown tremendously as a songwriter and a producer. This album really shows her range as a musician and captures her passion for her work. Although this isn’t the type of music I usually listen to, I thoroughly enjoyed COSMICOMA.
