Christopher Hill and the Stardust Crush release "The Gravity of the Goddess (No One Else Can Dance Like You)"

On December 17th, musical group Christopher Hill and the Stardust Crush released their new single, “The Gravity of the Goddess (No One Else Can Dance Like You)”. It is paired with a music video, featuring Christopher Hill themself laid over nature and space scenes.

The song itself is a rhythmic journey, changing pace and feel multiple times throughout the song. It begins with a power-building introduction and verses, encouraging the listener to harness their power with steady piano in the background and lower tones. The choruses are more upbeat and full of fun rhythms, still with the theme of power and individuality in a different way. The ending of the song has faster piano with more chaotic rhythms and chords, which pairs well with the video’s increasingly quick flashing images of Hill, the sky, and nature.

Christopher Hill and the Stardust Crush use a variety of genres to create their unique sound, making an interesting listening experience; its folk influences mixed with rhythm, blues, and pop/rock make a sound that’s unforgettable. With 5 albums/EPs and a growing fanbase from small-scale radios, blogs, and critics, Christopher Hill and the Stardust Crush are starting to make bigger and bigger waves.
