The Oakland, California-based hardcore outfit DOOMSDAY have surprised their fans by releasing an incredible unannounced self-titled EP via Creator-Destructor Records. The EP is available on all platforms as well as 7” vinyl and cassettes that are available for pre-order and will ship in October. Doomsday was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Zach Ohren at Sharkbite Studios with completed album artwork by Ridge Rhine. The EP is made up of three tracks and a cover of the Metallica classic “Trapped Under Ice” on the digital version.

We’re beyond grateful that we get to keep doing this. Being in a band with my boys has got to be the greatest feeling ever. The whole point of this new record is to show our influences proudly; we’re always spinning Slayer, we’re always spinning Iron Age, and we wanted to be on our Baltimore Pulling Teeth shit. But beyond that I feel like we’re finally getting ‘it.’ We know what direction we want to go, and that’s just to do whatever the hell we want. We want to do thirty-second melt-your-face songs. We want to write nine-minute epics. We just want to have fun doing what we love.
— Carlos Velazquez (vocals)

DOOMSDAY was founded in 2018 by members in different parts of the Bay Area metal and hardcore scene. Its members consist of Carlos Velazquez (vocals), Ryan Calaveras (guitar), Michael Chavez (guitar), Robert “Big Rob” DeLorenzi (guitar), Glendon Diaz (bass), and Marc Estabillo (drums). Together they draw influences from Sepultura, Slayer, Iron Age, Metallica, and Power Trip, which makes the band a triple-guitar threat. After many demos, singles, and heavy live shows in the Bay Area and beyond, they finally reached well deserved international spotlight in 2022 with their Depictions Of Chaos EP.

After the release of their EP, DOOMSDAY toured with artists such as Upon Stone, Extinguish, Mutually Assured Destruction, Darkness Everywhere and many more. This built up their deadly craft to reach new levels of precision and aggression, which is clearly shown through the Doomsday EP.
