Miley Cyrus Releases Tearful & Heartfelt "Used To Be Young"
Miley Cyrus has been in the spotlight her entire life. Throughout her life, she has been the subject of ridicule and judgment for simply trying to find herself as each of us do in our own lives. The only difference, the entire world got a front row seat to the ups and downs of being human. As someone who they themselves is only a year older, her latest single hits home. Just because you’re in the spotlight doesn't make it fair to judge when each and every one of us has had our lives go through the same motions no matter how we deal with them.
With that being said, Miley recently released her latest single “Used To Be Young” which is an homage to the person she used to be, currently are growing into, and praising the journey to get to the present as well as the future. This single comes at a time when so many are in the similar current state of mind and need a reminder to not regret the obstacles that got us to where we are now because the future can only be better and greater. It’s okay to make “mistakes”, without the choices made and experiences, then you’d never grow. Your past doesn’t dictate your future, live your life the best way you know how and never let anyone tell you otherwise. There’s no handbook for how to live life to your fullest, be crazy, be fun, be wild, but most importantly, be young.
Miley’s latest video shows her in a dark room wearing a MIckey Mouse shirt and bodysuit which is a reminder of how we all came to know and love her when she started out as Hannah Montana. Throughout the video she sheds tears going over how her life has been shed into the limelight but by the end she is smiling and proud of her journey to being 30 years old.
