elbow Releases "Six Words" From Upcoming Album

On October 15th, elbow released another track from their upcoming album Flying Dream 1 which you can pre-order here. The track, “Six Words”, is also accompanied by a film of the creation of the song. 

The song is a masterpiece - its musicality is stunning, and the switch halfway through from something smooth to something intensely rhythmic works well with the content. Lyrically, “Six Words” is beautiful as well. Guy Garvey, the lead vocalist, explains the song as “a return to [his] love of writing about love”. It is simple in its lyrics, but those lyrics are still impactful and intense nonetheless, the message of all-consuming love soaring over a melodic and harmony-filled track. elbow’s capability to create such unique music that still resonates with all is something that should be appreciated, and it’ll be exciting to see where they continue to go with Flying Dream 1.

Flying Dream 1 will be released on November 19th, featuring the prior single “The Seldom Seen Kid” along with “Six Words”.
