Hedras Release Music Video For “Angels”

Hedras is a modern guitar master whose transcends the limits of genre to create innovative music. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Hedras Ramos has been a multi-instrumentalist since childhood. While starting out on drums at age six, by age thirteen the guitar become the focus of his musical education. Entirely self-taught, he began to practice 12 hours a day. By 2011 when he was only nineteen, he composed and produced his first instrumental album, Atoms and Space. Now known as Hedras, the artist was able to attract renowned rock guitarists Andy James and Jennifer Batten to appear on his debut album. 

Hedras followed up Atoms and Space with the instrumental album The Impressionist which also featured special guests such as the guitarists Plini and Martin Miller and drummer Anup Sastry. The last instrumental album released by Hedras was Pagans a djent and progressive metal album. Abasi Guitars supported the project which had a collaboration with Tosin Abasi from Animals as Leaders. Abasi in fact gifted Hedras an 8-string Larada guitar. Prog musicians featured on the album included bass player Ayumu and drummer Anup Sastry. 

Now Hedras has released a new single and music video "Angels" via Blood Blast Distribution. “Angels” will be the title track from the newly announced album Angels, out on Friday, May 13. Using a Cort Mutility guitar to create urban beats. Describing his new take on beat-heavy music, Hedras explains his influences.

"I'm a big fan of urban Latin music, trap, and EDM,” said Ramos. “I always imagined combining those styles with prog metal, so I had to dive deeply into electronic production and learn how to cohesively put all those elements in synergy with my own guitar ideas and create songs that have a meaning and a vibe. ‘Angels’ is the result of that and part of a full album in that vein."
