Brittany and the Blisstones Release Video For "Mermaid"

On February 4th, 2022, duo Brittany and the Blisstones release their music video for “Mermaid”, the first track for their upcoming EP. This song is the first song Brittany Bliss ever wrote with Reid Givens.

This song tells of Bliss’ connection to the ocean, and how nature can teach us lessons. To reconnect with nature is to reconnect with ourselves, and that’s the main feeling of the song. With its majestic melody and its unique sound - trumpets, rhythmic percussion, and Bliss’ lovely voice - “Mermaid” is a wonderful debut for Brittany and the Blisstones. Paired with a beautiful music video with dramatic beach scenery and flashes to Bliss playing and singing, it’s a great song that is made to dance to. Its tempo is this perfect mix of relaxing and hopeful, speeding up near the close and encouraging the listener to reflect on how nature can truly change us for the better.
