Kehlani in Las Vegas

Kehlani in Vegas changed me.” This is a quote from a fan at the show that couldn’t be more accurate. The Chelsea was a unique Las Vegas venue for a unique show. On the third floor of the Cosmopolitan hotel is this 3,200-capacity concert venue. Everyone in the venue feels every movement, and the floor was literally shaking when Kehlani got the audience moving. Everyone in the room knew who they were there for, and “the energy [was] beautiful,” as Kehlani put it. She really connected with the crowd and paid attention to them. She got people in the crowd help when they needed it, noticed signs people had, talked to individuals in the audience, and at one point even came down to the pit to be closer to her people. Sometimes, no matter how good someone’s music is, they just don’t have the stage presence for live shows. Kehlani was meant to be an entertainer. She puts on one of the most interactive, inclusive, beautiful live shows I’ve ever been a part of. She hit the audience with some classics, some newer music, and some remixes only played at the live shows. I also need to mention her amazing merch in which I stood in line for a shirt with Kehlani’s face that said, “I came to see Kehlani sing don’t bother me asshole,” that I can’t wait to wear. You need to go see her on tour if you get the chance. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of show.
