Rain City Drive Release Self-Titled Album
Fans of the post-hardcore stylings of Rain City Drive have had a lot to enjoy from the band this summer. The group successfully completed the SiriusXM Octane's Remade In Misery Tour with Memphis May Fire, From Ashes To New, and Wolves At The Gate. After that tour ended, Rain City Drive then went on Set It Off's Welcome To Elsewhere Tour Part 2 with OXYMORONS, Concrete Castles, and Weathers. Both tours showcased Rain City Drive’s highly infectious riffs, heavy bass, and well-written melodies.
Those qualities in their music are on display in the band’s latest album released by Thriller Records, the self-titled Rain City Drive. This is the second album with frontman Matt McAndrew who has settled in perfectly with the band. The singer who made his name on season 7 of NBC’s The Voice and was coached by Adam Levine has brought a polished pop sensibility the Rain City Drive. This has no doubt helped Rain City Drive get 278 million streams and 263K album sales.
Singles already released by the band include “Cutting it Close,” “Dreams,” “Waiting on You,” and “Dying For.” Fans greatly enjoyed these tracks and were excited to hear more. Rain City Drive then released a new single alongside a music video entitled “Blood Runs Cold.” According to the band, “Blood Runs Cold” has an emotional meaning.
"Blood Runs Cold' is about not being able to walk away from someone because your connection is so strong that they feel like a part of you,” the band said in an official statement.

The Palm Coast, Florida natives, have attracted lots of positive feedback from critics and fans alike. First debuting as Slaves in 2014, the group had already released three albums under that name before a political awakening motivated them to drop the offensive moniker and redub themselves Rain City with the release of their fourth album, To Better Days, in 2020. Since then, the band has further evolved with the name Rain City Drive and has been a more focused and tighter project.
