KMFDM Releases 'Let Go'
KMFDM celebrates their 40th anniversary with the release of their 23rd studio album, Let Go. The album will feature 11 original songs, including the title track, a powerful mix of techno and rock. Let Go will be released via Metropolis Records.
Throughout their four-decade career, KMFDM has become an influential force in music. Their signature Ultra Heavy Beat style has inspired artists in industrial, EBM, and alternative rock. Utilizing funky, dance rhythms alongside screeching guitars and gritty vocals, KMFDM have addressed deep political and social concerns in their music.
Based in Hamburg, Germany KMFDM is truly an international band. Frontman Sascha “Käpt’n K” Konietzko formed KMFDM as a performance art project when he was living in Paris, France. The current line-up of KMFDM features American musicians Lucia Cifarelli on vocals and Andee Blacksugar on guitars with the English Andy Selway on drums.
Let Go was recorded at Chameleon Recording Studios in Hamburg. Benjamin Lawrenz (VNV Nation, Deep Purple, Saga, Mono Inc., Lord of the Lost) mixed and mastered the album. Longtime collaborator Aidan “BRUTE” Hughes provided the album cover art in the distinctive propaganda art style that has come to be identified with KMFDM.
