Kooper Kain Releases Dose of Dredge

Fans of dark music may manage to crack a rare smile upon hearing the news that Kooper Kain has released a new album titled, Dose Dredge. This is one of the latest releases from the vampiric Canadian goth rocker. Kain self-produced Dose Dredge at his S/N RATIo studio in Vancouver, British Columbia which has been putting out music and animation projects that embraces darker aesthetics in art.

For Dose Dredge, Kain recruited a couple of legendary performers to collaborate with him. Scottish musician Chris Connelly who was a major creative force in the industrial bands The Joy Thieves, Ministry, Pigface, and Revolting Cocks before embarking on a successful solo alternative rock career collaborates with Kain on Dose Dredge. Joining them is David J from classic gothic rock bands Bauhaus and Love and Rockets.

Dose Dredge features the signature industrialized gothic rock sound that Kooper Kain has embraced throughout his career. Deeply layered and expertly produced, the discography of Kooper Kain has a great deal to offer listeners of epic-sounding dark music both in the classic 80s goth style to the newer, more electronic-based scene. There are elements of darkwave present in many of the songs on Dose Dredge in particular the title track with its sorrowful lyrics and romantic, ethereal instrumentation.

Kooper Kain is as mysterious as his music sounds. Rarely emerging from the shadows to give interviews and avoiding most social media, Kain lets his music speak for itself. Dose Dredge follows Kooper Kain’s self-titled 2021 album and his recent compilation KKollection, which are available via Bandcamp and Spotify, respectively. Kooper Kain is already working on his fifth album and plans not only to continue to tour North America but go overseas to Europe as well.
