Little Steven’s Underground Garage Presents The Wicked Cool Records Revue!

Hard Rock and Little Steven’s Underground Garage combine forces once again, this time to promote The Wicked Cool Records Revue!, a traveling showcase featuring a line-up of rockers off the Wicked Cool Records label which includes Slim Jim Phantom and the Wildcats, The Chesterfield Kings, Cocktail Slippers, and Soria.

Wicked Cool Records was founded in 2007 by Stevie Van Zandt, a.k.a. Little Steven, the legendary guitarist for Burce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Zandt has been a tireless promoter of garage rock, both classic and modern. The label is an outgrowth of Zandt’s work that started with Little Steven’s Underground Garage radio show. The highly influential program is internationally syndicated on terrestrial radio and has its own 24/7 SiriusXM music channel.

The Wicked Cool Records Revue! will give people a taste of the 20 fabulous acts on our record label. People know Slim Jim Phantom from the Stray Cats, but they may not have had an opportunity to see Slim Jim Phantom & The Wildcats. We’ve also got Soraia, one of our most popular bands from Philadelphia, and the fabulous Cocktail Slippers are coming all the way from Norway. I’m particularly excited about the return of the legendary Chesterfield Kings, the garage band that set the standards for all others back in the 80s. It’s their first show in 15 years and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”

-says Stevie Van Zandt

Hard Rock and Little Steven’s Underground Garage have collaborated numerous times in the past 22 years. When Zandt debuted his radio show, Hard Rock was the very first sponsor. Little Steven’s Underground Garage has presented live shows at various Hard Rock cafes, casinos, and hotels around the world. Previous events promoted by Hard Rock and Little Steven’s Underground Garage include pre-game concerts at Yankee Stadium, ESPN’s first-ever New Year’s Eve Concert Special, Teen Vogue’s Rock Meets the Runway, female-fronted Battle of the Bands contest, and the 500th Show which featured punk icons Green Day and Debbie Harry among many others.

The Wicked Cool Records Revue! will start in Austin, TX on March 16th as part of the South by Southwest festival. The show will be preceded by a special send-off show, Mojo’s Final Mayhem!, which is a tribute to Mojo Nixon, the great psychobilly performer and SiriusXM DJ who unfortunately passed away earlier this month. Nixon hosted the Sirius XM Outlaw Country channel which was also founded by Van Zandt.

The South by Southwest showcase will also feature The Jellybricks, and Bobby Mahoney. The Jellybricks hail from Harrisburg, PA, and have been making waves in the local music scene there having been nominated for “Best Music Video” at the Independent Music Awards and being honored with the Central PA Music Hall of Fame “Best Rock Band” award. Their catchy and melodic combo of 90s alt-rock and 60s British Invasion has brought them opening slots on tours with Live, Goo Goo Dolls, Fuel, and Better Than Ezra. New Jersey-based singer/songwriter

Bobby Mahoney is an up-and-coming artist who will release his debut album later this year on Wicked. He has already played shows alongside established acts such as Bon Jovi, Against Me! Frank Turner, and The Gaslight Anthem
