Normani Returns With “Wild Side” Featuring Cardi B

After over a year without any releases, Normani has made her return to music with her latest single “Wild Side”, which features Cardi B. Normani’s last release was when she featured on “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion back in January of 2020, so this was a long-awaited comeback. 

The track is slower and more mellow, definitely a change of pace for Cardi B after her successful smash hit “WAP” that took the music scene by storm last summer. Normani’s vocals are as gorgeous as ever, and Cardi finds a way to make her unapologetic flow mesh well with the overall chill vibe of this track. This is the first collaboration between the two, and their musical styles work together very well.

This release was accompanied by a music video directed by Tanu Muino and choreographed by Sean Bankhead, and is an incredible visual containing bright costumes, phenomenal choreography, and even a shot with Normani in a helicopter. It works well with the song and really gave Normani an opportunity to showcase her dancing abilities.

“Wild Side” has been out since July 22nd and has already amassed over 9 million plays on Spotify. It is available on all streaming platforms, and the music video is available for streaming on Youtube.
