Harper Releases Debut Single "Falling"; Announces Signing to Pale Chord

There are few 10-year-olds that can be kickass on the mic as well as Harper. The young internet star exploded on the scene with her amazing one-take rendition of Spiritbox’s hit song “Holy Roller.” The video got 222,000 YouTube views. With metal media such as Kerrang! Loudwire, Rock Sound, and Revolver enthusiastically covered the video, Harper was an overnight sensation.

Harper followed her online success with an appearance on NBC’s America Got Talent where she blew away the judges with her metal vocal styling. That appearance got Harper an additional 1.6 million views on YouTube. This would get Harper on the radar of Spiritbox who invited her to sing with them at their London, UK show. They of course sang, “Holly Roller,” the song that started it all for Harper.

“Spiritbox became my favorite band as soon as I heard them and they've shown nothing but love and support for me since day one, they really are some of the kindest humans I’ve ever met,” said Harper. “Getting to perform with them in London was a dream come true and a memory I will cherish and be forever grateful for.”

Now Harper is a rising star with her first single, “Falling.” The single is an original song written and produced with the help of Chris Wiseman (Shadow of Intent, Currents) and Ben Lumber (Acres). Harper has quickly gone from her initial fame as a cover performer to an authentic original artist.

“‘Falling’ was written shortly after my cover of ‘Holy Roller,”’ said Harper. “This was the first creative process and songwriting process I’ve been a part of so it was super fun to create something I can call my own.”

“Falling” was released by the Los Angeles-based independent label, Pale Chord in partnership with heavy metal and punk recording company Rise Records.

I am so excited to be working with Pale Chord for my debut single,” said Harper. “The label has been nothing short of amazing to me and I’m excited to make some magic with them!"

Harper has also released a music video for the song “Falling.” The juxtaposition of a cute little blonde girl in a dress growling out aggressive lyrics to heavy metal is appropriately shocking and incredibly impressive. Her creative partner Ben lumber is, in fact, her stepfather and you can see he raised her well on the metal classics as she has already shown a true aptitude for performing hard music and has the potential to grow into a true metal goddess
