This will be the first tour Smashing Pumpkins have done since their highly successful Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour in 2018. The band had been rejuvenated after the 2018 tour and went back to the studio to record the double album CYR. Released in 2020, the Smashing Pumpkins didn’t tour to promote due to the worldwide crisis, but this current tour will more than make up for the lost time. Smashing Pumpkins have indicated that they will return to the studio after the conclusion of the Spirits on Fire Tour. Expect to hear new music from Smashing Pumpkins throughout 2022.
