Angelmaker Release ‘Eclipse’

On December 8th, 2021, Vancouver-based deathcore band AngelMaker released another two-track EP, Eclipse, along with a music video for the lead single “Exit Signs”.

As their fourth two-track EP, Eclipse contains songs “Exit Signs” and “The Weight”. “Exit Signs” is paired with a music video, a silhouette-filled production of the band performing this lead single. The vocal control exhibited by AngelMaker vocalist Mike Greenwood is impressive as always, carried by their dual vocals and intense guitar riffs and rhythms. The three-piece of guitarists in AngelMaker creates a unique and chaotically great sound, making this song a staple for old and new fans alike, and a perfect encapsulation of what deathcore has been made to be. Lyrically, “Exit Signs”, tells of how people often let emotions get the best of them, and how “we don’t notice all the warning signs of a situation until a lot later”, Greenwood shares. With impactful lyrics and an epic sound, AngelMaker made their mark with this new release.

After ten years of great success as an independent group, AngelMaker continues to impress listeners and reviewers alike, and they are becoming a rising force in the deathcore scene. It’s both brutal and introspective, chaotic and calculated - and it’s great to listen to.
