Sacramento-based experimental rock group, Dance Gavin Dance, have begun their much-anticipated North American Afterburner Tour on September 7th. Before the tour commenced, it was announced the main support band, Animals As Leaders, would be unavailable to join due to undisclosed circumstances. Thankfully, Texas-based progressive rock group, Polyphia, would take over the reins as the main support. To recap the tour’s line-up, bands include Veil of Maya, Eidola, and Wolf & Bear. As show times continue to draw near, several shows are seeing deficiency in tickets or even selling out. To snag tickets or VIP packages, click HERE for more information.

The Afterburner Tour is titled by Dance Gavin Dance’s chart-topping album Afterburner released in 2020. Dance Gavin Dance demonstrated their inarguable success by topping billboard charts twice in 2020, hitting #1 across the Current Album, Alternative, Digital, Rock, and Heavy Rock charts, and #14 on the Billboard Top 200. The album was initially released via digital-only versions, due to the COVID-19 impact on manufacturing limitations. Once the physical version of the album was released some months later, Afterburner returned to topping charts for Top Albums, Alternative, Top 200, and a myriad of charts more.

The Afterburner Tour commenced its shows in Portland, Oregon on September 7th, and will reach more than 30 cities, before reaching its end venue in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 20th. Dance Gavin Dance fanatics have long-awaited to celebrate and jam out to Afterburner when tours were originally planned in early 2020, but the moment has arrived to revel live with the band at the show nearest you!
